One of the biggest considerations when venturing offshore to the prudent mariner, is weather. The North Coast is famous for getting more than its fair share of inclement weather and at times the ocean conditions are not suitable for a safe and enjoyable fishing trip. Certain times of the year there is lots of fun fishing to be done right here on Humboldt Bay, where the protected waters are largely unaffected by the conditions on the ocean. If the conditions cause your desired trip to be cancelled we will gladly reschedule your trip when conditions allow.  If your schedule is inflexible, your deposit will be returned to you in full. If you need to cancel, we will return your deposit, but we ask for a 7 day notice, so that we may find others to take your spot. If you need to cancel with less notice,  your deposit will be forfeited. If you plan on going fishing with us or anyone else on the North Coast, it is advisable to keep a close eye on the Marine Forecast. We have a link on our home page to the forecast and to the local tide chart to assist you in planning your trip.

We are blessed with a thriving recreational fishery here on the North Coast due in  part to the regulations we, as responsible stewards of this resource, must follow. We have a link on the home page to the current regulations affecting your target fishery. It will explain season openings and closures, and size and bag limits, and designated protected areas. We will also have a hard copy of the regulations aboard  during your trip. A valid California Recreational Fishing license is required before boarding the boat. There is a link to purchase one on line. The license may also be purchased at many of our local sporting goods stores. We will provide quality fishing gear and bait. It will be your responsibility to bring proper clothing, something to eat and beverages of your choice. We will have fresh drinking water aboard.

Our rates are generally $250 for 8 hrs of fishing, or until everyone has limits, whichever comes first. Tuna trips are $350 due to the distances we travel, and the fuel we burn. These trips will often run 10 hours or longer. Our boat is swift, which means more time fishing and less time getting to the fishing grounds. We are always game to stay out a little longer if the bite is slow and those arrangements can be made with your captain. We are sure you will find our trips a great value for the money and we will work hard to satisfy you.

We are happy to plan a trip on the water doing just about anything you'd  like. We are honored to offer Memorial at Sea services. We suggest shooting us an email or giving us a call with your desired dates, and we can start putting a trip together that you will remember for years to come.  We are here for any questions you may have, don't hesitate to ask.
